Kreativ Blogger Award!

Recently I was given a few blog awards.  The first was from the lovely Andree of Straight Up Glam.  Andree, a fellow Canadian beauty blogger, awarded me the Kreativ blogger Award, thank you Andree!

It might be hard to name 10 things you don't know because I do tend to rattle on, but let's see.....


1.  I don't know what my natural hair color is anymore.  I got grey hair as early as 18, so I've been dying my hair for as long as I can remember.  I wouldn't even want to know what my hair would look like now, if left to it's own devices.


2.  I talk to myself a lot.  I started noticing that I do this recently, it's like I do a running commentary for myself.  Very odd but strangely soothing.  I even ask myself questions like should I put this here do you think?  Then I'll answer myself.

 3. I hate being too hot, and my idea of a bad time is sweating while trying to go to sleep.  Hence not a fan of hot summer nights.

4.  I'd almost rather do any chore other than grocery shopping.  


5.  I love looking at real estate.  I can spend hours on MLS looking at all the listings, whether I'm in the market or not.

6.  I haven't read a book in about 2 months.  This is so unlike me, normally I'm a big reader.  I did just start The Help this past week, which I know everyone but me has read already.

7.  I can't stand people getting in my personal space.  Last week at work this guy wheeled the chair from the front of my desk to the side, and was almost sitting right beside me...just to chat.  What the ?  


8.  I once read that the dirtiest thing in a hotel room is the tv remote and now I carry a ziplock bag with me that we throw it in, so we can use it germ free.  Some of you are probably rolling your eyes about now...others will think I'm a genius.

9.  If I can't fall asleep in order to relax, I usually try and think about how I'd like to re-arrange my furniture.  Works everytime. 


10.  I fear this list has made me appear a bit insane.

If you haven't read Pammy's blog you really should, she does great and detailed product reviews.  Usually by the time she's reviewed something, I feel like I've tried the product myself, which is awesome.  She is a petite, cute, blonde but don't hold that against her.  Thanks Pammy, I appreciate you acknowledging me & my blog!

So here we go, these are my 8 facts:

1.  I was born & raised in Alberta, Canada but I lived in Texas for one year where I attended grade 10 or 10th grade as they say in the States :)

2.  I am a huge animal lover.  I used to have my own horse, she was grey, extremely skittish and beautiful.  

3.  I have been with 'the boy' aka Andy for 13 years and I tell him all the time that he is incredibly lucky to have found me.

4.  I tend to be quite sarcastic.

5.  I have always loved beauty products.  One of my favourite gifts as a little girl was this doll type bust of a woman's head, that you could put make-up on and do her hair.  Sounds a little creepy as I try and describe it, but honest it wasn't.  I applied & re-applied blush & lipstick to it so many times that her face was eventually stained.  

6. I am a germaphobe.  I will not walk in a hotel room without socks or slippers on & I usually bring bleach wipes for the door handles & the t.v. remote.

7.  I spent two months travelling around Australia with 3 friends.  We lived in hostels, which was a major feat for me given fact #6.  I tried scuba diving for the first time on the Great Barrier Reef.

8.  I used to be able to speak French.  When I was in university I travelled to Paris & was able to get around the city no problem.  Fast forward 5 years or so later when I was lucky enough to go to Paris again & I couldn't even properly order a meal.  I got served peach pie for lunch one day when I thought I had ordered a sandwich.
