I did a little un-necessary shopping this week that I thought I'd share. I've been obsessed with finding the Hard Candy Fox in a Box blushes and they FINALLY came in at my Walmart. I debated over which one to buy but finally settled on Spicy & Sweet. I also wanted to get Glamoflauge, which they FINALLY have here in Canada, but the display had been pillaged and so no Glamoflauge for me. I did spot another product that is new, so I picked that up instead. Here's what I bought!
These Fox in a Box blushes are said to be similar to the Benefit blushes, and they are close at least in packaging. I'll have to see about the rest. This undereye brightener & concealer duo is called Undercover Agent. I figured since I couldn't get Glamoflauge, that this might be the next best thing. It's the strangest packaging but it doesn't bother me. You can see in the picture on the box that the concealer is a dome of product on top of the lid of the brightener tube. I will be testing it (already worn it twice) and will let you know my thoughts soon!
I also have been hearing a lot of buzz about this next product. It's said to keep your hair straight for...well, 3 days. Hence the name, 3 days straight. I have used and loved other John Frieda products so I wanted to give this a try.
They describe this as a semi-permanent styling spray that you apply on wet hair, then blow dry, use your straightener to smooth any hair you need to, and that's it. Your hair is supposed to then stay straight for the next 3 days. I think the true test will be when the weather is hot out, but I'm excited to try this.
These are the items out of their packages;
Have any of you tried these yet? What are your thoughts?

ReplyDeleteGreat haul!
ReplyDeleteCan you do a review of blush and concealer? I haven't tried it, so it's interesting to hear more about it:)

Great buys! I need to check out that undercover agent! Lately I have had such bad dark circles under my eyes, I cant wait to hear your thoughts on it!
ReplyDeleteI saw that Hard Candy Fox in a Box yesterday in Walmart and was sooo about to pick up Spicy and
ReplyDeleteSweet. I decided to stock up on the Garnier Fructis sale instead :/ Now I wish I would have gotten the Fox in A Box :( How is the pigment?
I'm eager to hear what you thought of the Hard Candy products!
ReplyDeleteI love the Hard Candy line so much. They really do have great products.
ReplyDeleteI would like to hear your thoughts on the frizz-ease product after the 3 days of wear. Would be awesome if your hair did stay straight for that long!

The Fox in a Box in Skinny Dippng is one of my favorite blushes of all time. I picked up Spicy and Sweet as well and it is also very nice. I don't feel the Undercover Agent was worth the money personally but hopefully you like it:)
ReplyDeleteFox in a Box looks gorgeous, I've only heard great things about it (=
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the great comments..I've been using the Hard Candy products for most of last week and have some thoughts. Should be able to review shortly, the 3 day experiment will start tomorrow I believe :)
ReplyDeleteThat's some pretty good buys :) The 3 day straight is pretty interesting. I've never tried any of these products but I am looking forward to see what you think of them :) Especially the concealer!
ReplyDeleteI went to Walmart a couple of months ago looking for Glamoflouge too and they didn't have any : ( I'll have to check again. I love the color of the blush you got!
ReplyDeleteThe Hard Candy blush does remind me of benefit's one! The shades are so pretty..
ReplyDeleteI'm so tempted to get a HC blush, too. Everyone's reviewing them!
ReplyDeleteWhile intrigued by the 3-day straight, I remain skeptical. Looking forward to your review!
Great haul!!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried any of these, but I am curious about the 3 day straight! I've heard a lot of good things about it!
That Hard Candy blush looks really nice, too!
Enjoy your goodies!!
Andrée xx
Thanks ladies, I have newly shampooed hair as I type this & about to start my 1st 3 day straight experiment!
ReplyDeleteLet us know about the 3 day straight, I have been dying to try this xxx
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to try the hard candy line too but my crappy Walmart never has anything in stock. I'm interested to see how these actually do compare to the benefit boxed blushes.
ReplyDeleteI`ve had some pretty good luck finding the latest hard candy products at my nearest Walmart. But it think it`s because I just so happened to go in on a day that they were stocking the shelves. I bought the glamoflauge (but in one shade too dark, will be better when I`m tan) and it`s coverage is insane! (like the kat von D tattoo stuff) not sure how often i`ll need to use such an intense concealer. And i bought the highlighter-concealer due too. Its definitely different...but the little rounded end is really quick and easy to use. I also grabbed a baked eye shadow due...not too bad eeither. Overall i like the HC line...glad we have it here in Canada too!
ReplyDeleteBuying new make-up products is so fun! When I buy something new, I find myself wanting to open it up and try it in the car before I even get out of the parking lot! lol
