John Frieda 3 Day Straight Experiment - Day 3 Final Results!

Well everyone, I have my final photo here to show you how my hair looked this morning.  I have to just add that this was again taken shortly after getting up and I have just brushed through it, nothing else.  Oh and I also have to mention that Mr. J had a late night at work, which resulted in a late night for me and then I couldn't sleep once he got home.  So this is after a lot of tossing & turning last night.

You can see there is a bit more wave starting mid hair, as well the ends aren't as smooth as they were, but really that is almost asking too much of a product.   These are still impressive results in my book.   Keep in mind that this is also with NO other products in my hair, except for a bit of hair spray to keep my bangs in place!

I know that people generally wash their hair every 1-3 days so for most people this would be your shampoo day anyway.  For me, I could actually get away with not washing my hair today if I wanted to.  The texture is still incredibly soft, there is no greasiness or heaviness from the product.

I also am impressed with the front of my hair, I typically have to fuss with my bangs in order to get my hair presentable each day.  Yesterday I just used the curling iron as a bit of a straightener and to get them to sit right.  It took me no time at all.  Today, I wouldn't even have to do that,  that is also amazing to me as my bangs typically kink up every night.

So in case you haven't guessed it already, this is a HUGE thumbs up from me.  I would highly recommend you try this.  I think even for those girls who have to wash their hair daily you would still get a smoothness and sleekness from using this product.  It actually made my hair feel like I had gotten a professional blow out from my hair stylist!

I also know that the truest test will come in the hot summer months.  That is actually the time of year I'm the most excited about using this product.  I am confident that it will help my hair fight the humidity and frizz.  It might not be as smooth as now, but I am sure it will make a difference.

The best price I've found for this in Canada so far is at Walmart, where it retailed for I believe $9.97.

Next I want to try the John Frieda Dream Curls curl perfecter that I read about on a haul post on Emily's blog yesterday!

How about you, do you think you will try this product?

  3. I'm curious to try it. I have naturally curly hair and straighten it every day but when I wake up in the morning it's always curly again, no matter what!

  4. Sara - I hope you like it!

    Christine - Thanks, I have a side swept bang that I have a love/hate relationship with :)

Marie - I think you should be the next test subject especially b/c my hair is wavy not curly. I could swear from your pictures that you had naturally straight hair. I am guessing even if your hair is a bit curly the next day it would be greatly less than usual...try & let me know!

  10. Opal - Thanks for stopping by!

FairyGirl - I think it's partly the way the photo is taken & partly due to my current beauty budget restrictions ;)
